Where African Law Meets Future Tech
The continent's biggest gathering for legal innovation: 2,500+ delegates from 45 countries, 120 speakers, live courts, AI labs, startup battles and the LegalTech Expo. Justice, re-coded in Africa.

01 — About the festival
Not a conference. A movement for justice.
Born in Nairobi in 2022, the Africa Law Tech Festival is where chief justices debate with AI engineers, where rural paralegals demo mobile apps, and where investors meet the next Paystack for law.
In 2026 we take over Kigali for three electric days. Theme: “Justice Without Borders: Code, Courts & Community.” From e-filing in Lagos to digital ID courts in Kigali, from Swahili legal chatbots to smart contracts for farmers — we showcase what works, live.
600 pioneers. First legal hackathon.
Launched at Strathmore with 20 startups.
1,800 delegates. Live e-court demo.
Chief Justice of Nigeria opened AI moot court.
The biggest edition. You in?
3 stages, expo, hackathon, gala awards + safaris.
Africa's cleanest, safest, most connected city. Visa on arrival for all Africans. Home to digital courts.
What makes us different?
- Live, not slides: real AI trials, real filings, real verdicts on stage.
- 50% African women speakers — engineers, judges, founders.
- Swahili, French, English, Kinyarwanda live translation + AI captions.
- Impact fund: $150k for access-to-justice startups pitching live.
